The Happy Earth Hall will be celebrating its 5th Birthday at the 2017 The Witness Garden Show, held from the 22-25 September at the Royal Agricultural Showgrounds. A project of the Happy Earth Environmental Education & Sustainability Forum, the hall will host a wide range of organisations working together to transform Hall 4 in an exciting space of environmental awareness. Outstanding and creative displays can be expected from SANBI, Duct, PMMBT P.E.A.C.E., Karkloof Conservancy and the KZN Inland Botanical Society. Among the first time exhibitors will be the Owl Rescue Centre, the Pietermaritzburg Children Home, PACSA, KZN Crane Foundation and some UKZN based student organisation adding their own touches and dimensions to the displays. The Happy Earth Hall is famous not only for its high quality and informative displays, but as well as a fun and family place. There will be exciting games, treasure hunts, competitions and lots of spot prizes to be won. With the ongoing drought and clear signs of climate change, more and more people realize how interconnected society and the environment really are. We all need to do our bit for healthy rivers, healthy soils and clean air and our amazing biodiversity. With heritage day being in the middle of The Witness Garden Show, let us celebrate and be proud of our stunning and unique biodiversity. Come and visit the Happy Earth Hall in Hall 4 and leave inspired to play your part in a sustainable future for all of us.
